George Zimmerman’s Brother: “He Had No Choice But To Shoot Trayvon Martin”

George Zimmerman’s father came to his son’s defense yesterday and now his brother is coming forward to defend his brother against the shooting death of Trayvon Martin last month.

Appearing on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, Robert Zimmerman Jr, the brother of George Zimmerman, said that George was acting in self-defense, and told Morgan:

“The fantasy or mythology that he chased a person is absolutely false. He stopped someone from disarming him and shooting him. He didn’t pull out a gun and shoot him.”

Robert Jr. insisted that contrary to media reports, his brother was responsible and friendly saying:

“He’s the neighbour that everybody would want to have. He goes out of his way to help people – he always has.”

And he added that police footage of the killer after his arrest proved that he was injured in a fight with Trayvon:

“To me his nose looks swollen in that video. I’m his brother.”

The video released on Wednesday night showed no visible bruises or cuts to Zimmerman’s body, which led many to believe that his statement of Trayvon beating and punching him were false.

Zimmerman fatally shot an unarmed Trayvon in the chest at point blank range on Feb. 26 in The Retreat at Twin Lakes gated community in Sanford, Florida.

Zimmerman has been claiming self-defense from day one, has not been charged with a crime and is currently in hiding.

Zimmerman’s self-defense case is falling apart. With the release of the Zimmerman video being led into the Sanford police station showing no signs of abuse, and now the funeral director saying that Trayvon had no signs of bruising or cuts, it’s only a matter of time before he is arrested. #HoodiesUp
